bazel: Use bazel 8.8.1 and DO_NOT_TRACK - Upgrade to the latest Bazel 8 version (8.8.1). Doing so resolves issues with bazel dependencies that use "compatibility_level", as beginning in Bazel 8.6.0 this setting became a no-op. See the details on the Bazel PR https://github.com/bazelbuild/bazel/pull/28615 for more information. - Opt out of third-party ruleset telemetry (common --repo_env=DO_NOT_TRACK=1) in sub-module .bazelrc files. - Regenerate the MODULE.bazel.lock file. You can run tasks using the Pigweed workflow launcher pw or bazel.
./pw presubmit - Run presubmit checks: formatting, license checks, C/C++ header checks and clippy../pw format - Run the code formatters.bazel test //... - Run all tests.bazel build //docs - Build documentation.The project is structured as a bazel module.
No additional tools are required - all dependencies are managed by bazel.
